A Carrom Air Hockey Table Is Great For Family Game Night

The Carrom Company, originally called the Ludington Novelty Company, has been manufacturing tabletop board games and game tables since the 19th century, including tabletop basketball, baseball and football games. They began their company with the design and manufacture of simple board games and the mission of promoting family game night and wholesome fun.

In the late 20th century, Carrom began its foray into other types of games. You can now get a Carrom Air Hockey table, electronic games, foosball tables, stick hockey/soccer tables, basketball tables and bowling games. Their gaming units are intended for residential use, as they are smaller, and made to be more affordable for the average family, such that they can spend time at home together, rather than out on the town.

Carrom’s three air hockey products currently on the market are the Face-Off Air Powered Hockey set, the Nascar Licensed Air Powered Hockey set and the Players Air Powered Hockey Set. The sets vary in price from $65.00 to $650.00, depending on the size, condition and retailer.

The Face-Off Air Powered Hockey set is a table-top miniature set that is portable in nature. It weights 17 pounds and has a playing surface of more than 39″ in length. While it is small and portable, it still carries the Carrom air hockey table brand name and that quality product reputation. This miniature table is built for fun, and built to last.

The Nascar-Licensed Air Powered Hockey set is much larger, and is the most similar to a professional air hockey set. It features full color Nascar graphics along the playing surface and sideboards and weights in at 182 pounds, with a playing surface of more than 75 inches in length. The graphics and the near full size make this unit comparable to professional units, and the graphics will remind you of tables you’ve seen at your local arcade.

The Players Air-Powered Hockey table is their most affordable large-size stationary unit. It weights only 31 pounds, but features steel legs and a wooden game cabinet. The playing surface is more than 43″ long and more than 24″ wide. The game includes two pucks and mallets, and requires minimal assembly.

When you think about purchasing an air hockey table for your family room or game room, consider a Carrom air hockey table. Carrom is a company with more than 100 years experience during which they have built a reputation for an affordable, quality product meant for family fun.
